Ordering & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and cash (in store). E-Gift cards are also available!

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to charge sales tax on orders with shipping addresses within Massachusetts, as well as on local pickup orders and in-store purchases..

For orders shipped outside of MA, we do not collect sales tax ourselves, but Shopify may be required to collect and remit the sales tax on our behalf, which is outside our control.

Do you sell on platforms other than this website?

Yes! We also sell on Bricklink, Brick Owl, eBay, and Walmart Marketplace. If you're looking for a large quantity of individual parts or minifigures, Bricklink and Brick Owl are great options with access to our full inventory of roughly 1.6 million parts!

Can I change or cancel my order?

We process orders quickly (typically same business day), so please contact us as soon as possible at erik@bensbrickstore.com or 1-(413)-213-0345 if you need to make a change or cancellation. If your order hasn't been processed yet, we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled, but you may be eligible to return it under our return policy.

Please note, cancelled orders may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! e-Gift cards are available in our online store HERE. They are available in wide ranging amounts from $10-$200. You are welcome to purchase more than one if you don't see the exact amount you would like!

We also sell physical plastic gift cards at our retail location (minimum amount $20). We even have some decorative note cards & envelopes for them, available for $1 each!

Shipping

How quickly do you ship?

Most orders placed by 1:00 PM Eastern Time on weekdays are generally processed and shipped same business day. Orders placed over the weekend will generally ship on Monday.

There may be some exceptions to this if we are experiencing high order volumes, or for large orders. For details please see our Shipping Policy.

How long does shipping take?

Within USA:
Standard Shipping:
Typically 2-5 days, depending on shipping zone. Locations furthest from Massachusetts may take slightly longer.

Priority Shippng:
Typically 2-3 days for Priority Mail.

International Shipping (& US Territories, APO/FPO, etc.):
Shipping may take anywhere from 1-4 weeks, possibly longer. Shipping times vary greatly depending on the country, and will also depend on the shipping option you chose at checkout.

I need my order by order by a specific date, can you help?

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship to approximately 35 countries. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on USPS rates, plus a 3% handling fee. Please note that customs fees and import tariffs are the buyer's responsibility, and we will NOT falsify customs forms!

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Local pickup is available at our store at 442 State St, Unit A, Belchertown, MA. Please allow up to 24 hours for your order to be ready. See Shipping Policy for more details.

How can I track my order?

You should receive a tracking number & shipping carrier info when we purchase the shipping label. All orders we ship include tracking, so if you haven't received it, let us know!

Most orders ship via USPS, which can be tracked here.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

For eligible items, you will have 14 days after receiving the item to request a return. Items must be in original condition, sealed, unused, and in original packaging with receipt. A 15% restocking fee applies to most returns (no fee if the error was on our end).

Which items are not returnable?

Used and pre-built sets, most parts orders, sale items, and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned.

What if my order arrived damaged or is missing pieces?

Please contact us immediately at erik@bensbrickstore.com if your order arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect. We always do our best to make it right!

If there are missing pieces, we may be able to replenish them free of charge if we have them in stock. Otherwise, we will issue a refund for their value.

Do you buy or trade LEGO®?

Generally, yes, we will offer cash/check or store credit for your unwanted LEGO®. Items need to be in sellable condition, and reasonably clean - also free of smoke damage/odors, and free of non-LEGO® items.

We receive a ton of requests to buy LEGO® though, so we do have to be careful with our budget and we always have a massive backlog of inventory to process. This means we are somewhat selective with what we take in, and we won't be able to offer you top dollar for it. We have to be able to maintain a profit margin too.

It's not realistic to expect a store to pay eBay "sold" or Amazon "Buy Box" prices - these are the prices we would be SELLING them for, AFTER we do all the work to get them ready for sale.

We handle things on a case by case basis, but we use the Bricklink 6-month Average Price Guide to determine value of complete sets and individual minifigs. We will typically offer UP TO 50% of the 6-month average, but exact amount depends on condition and how fast selling the item is, so our offer will generally be closer to 30-40% of the average. We will also offer a lower amount on USED sets, as these are very time consuming to process and we get flooded with them.

How tight our budget happens to be at the time is also a factor, which may result in a lower offer. We will sometimes offer a slightly higher amount for store credit vs cash/check.

For used bulk, we will offer UP TO $3/lb. In rare cases possibly more, if it's already category sorted (we DO NOT pay extra for color sorting) or contains a lot of rare pieces or minifig & animal parts etc. If we see a lot of fake LEGO®, broken/damaged pieces, or other toys or garbage in the mix, this will hurt the value substantially since we cannot sell non-LEGO®, and it takes us a TON of time to carefully screen all the pieces before we can sell them.

Please keep in mind, we are under no obligation to purchase your LEGO®. We reserve the right to refuse to purchase any item for any reason we choose.

Do you offer birthday parties or other events?

Not yet, we simply don't have a space available for events, and our small team has too much on our plates as it is!

We do hope to be able to offer parties and events like monthly build nights in the future, but practically speaking, it's just not feasible in our current location.

Are you hiring?

We currently have just one part time employee, but we are hoping to expand our team in the near future! Specifically, we are looking for someone with bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks Online, and/or someone with eCommerce selling & marketing experience.

Anyone we hire for these roles will need to have very strong computer skills, and of course will need to be someone who is passionate about LEGO® products!

Eventually, we may also be looking to grow a small team of people to help with sorting bulk LEGO®, where you would be paid by the pound for sorting LEGO® at home.
